Sometimes, the, oh-so-horrifying Feeling of being alive in human society, takes me over

As disheartening are the experiences of waking up from lucid dreaming and being wildly disorientated after refreshing experiences being a non-human being, there are way more crucifying sensations to go through. 

For example, this ongoing madness of living in a decaying human-shaped body is a much more disheartening and terrifying experience. Most of the time...

Where are my fey wings, the thick armor of my orangutang fur (read as hair in a living body), the dragonflies the size of a sky-high high-rise that buzz to help when needed? Where are the purple skies under the two moons? Who am I in this play of human life? What is my role? What am I supposed to do?

The sheer horror, my friend, sheer horror

Cyberpunk movies to inspire your genre gaming (plus some gaming stuff, too!)

Cyberpunk is a cool genre of books, movies, tv-series, comics, cartoons, clothing style(s) and various types of games. As a roleplaying game moderator, who likes to make own adventures for roleplaying sessions, I find it useful to watch inspirational genre movies.... And because sharing is caring, I'll tell You  about feeeeeew movies and videos that are worth to watch... Hardware (1990) is now days considered as a some sort of cyberpunk cult b-movie classic, and it's no wonder why that is the case. It has leather, darkness, violent fights, sorrow, pain, madness, robotics, cybernetics, far-out Net -audiovisuals, certain sexyness, coolness and whole lotta F-U -Attitude. And just look at that movie poster, I mean, just look at it! Not the world's best indie-flick, but worth to watch. Max Headroom: 20 minutes into the future (1985) is a television produced Cyberpunk movie. Even with its oddicities and glumsyness, the movie achieves to tell a interesting stor...

Naming couple of bad apples in RPG industry

Oikein mainiota kesää kaikille! Juhannuksena kokoonnuimme pienellä porukalla viettämään mukavaa juhannusta selvinpäin. Kävellen, rupatellen, syöden, limuja ja vissyä juoden, naureskellen, musiikkia kuunnellen ja lautapelejä pelaten. Lainasin etukäteen Sampolasta kirjaston puolelta muutaman lautapelin Juhannustelua vasrten. Yksi näistä oli Afrikan Tähden suunnittelijan uudempi jatko-osa-peli, Inkan Aarre. Näillä polttavan kuumilla ennätyshellekeleillä ei vaadi kauheasti mielikuvitusta, kuvitella matkaavansa kuumassa Etelä-Amerikassa. Tai Afrikan mantereella. Afrikan Tähti oli meille kaikille tuttu, kuten varmaan lähes kaikille suomalaisille lautapelaajille. Inkan Aarretta meistä ei ollut kukaan aiemmin pelannut. Päätimme siis kokeilla, millaista on pelata Inkan Aarretta. Inkan Aarre on Afrikan Tähden suunnittelijan tekemä uudempi peli. And at least I like when I here about something cool and usable to my personal tastes, interests and to use with my dipplings and dapplings in adventure making and game modifying... And that's why I like to interact internationally with veteran gamers, new gamers, game designers, and so on, because it is so satisfying to find something that is new to me, to freshen up my material that is sometimes maybe too much in roots of roleplaying games, and not so much into new ways of playing and gaming. Talvi ja alkukevät oli kyllä melkoista "polvi otti sitten taas osumaa kaatuessa taikka yhteentörmäyksessä"-kimaraa. Alkaa elämä taas hymyillä, kun fibromyalgia-vaivatkin ovat pysyneet erinäisillä konsteilla enimmäkseen siedettävinä. Ja kun aurinkokin paistaa, niin mikäs tässä aappenan köllötellessä elämäänsä tyytyväisenä. Kyä ny gorillamisukan kelepoo olla ja köllötellä Gorilla Wearia yllään ku elo hymyilöö tuaas Toissaviikonloppuna penkkasin Recoileilla 130 kg asti, viimeviikolla kyykkäsin to ja pe 130 kg asti totuttaen polvia taas kyykkäämiseen ja tehden tekniikkatreeniä, ja eilen pitkästä aikaa mavetin muutaki...

Sanctions the horror sci-fi ttrpg

Sanctions is making its way to your gaming tables Few physical copies of the Sanctions horror cyberpunk ttrpg by Liam Thompson Sanctions is interesting horror science fiction tabletop roleplaying-game, that will be published as glossy book very soon. It's already available as a PDF file. It's main creator Liam Thompson was so kind that he sent me some work file material and printable DI card file to print and use when playing live or tabletop rpg, or just using it as a cool prop in roleplaying conventions.  This article is a simple (p)review of the material of Sanctions and it's based on the early draft file that Liam sent me, and on the public information the publisher has on their site. Suomi on siitä loistava kieli, että se on ilmaisuvoimainen, monipuolinen ja -ilmeinen, elävä ja eloisa kieli. Ja koska Suomen originaali- ja käännös-roolipelijulkaisuja ovat olleet vuosikymmenien mittaan olleet tekemässä ja kääntämässä monen kirjava sakki, on suomalaiseen roolipeliharrastukseen päässyt syntymään hyvinkin laaja tapa ilmaista pelien ja pelaamisen termistöjä. Toki englanninkielessäkin on löydettävissä laajaa kirjoa, mutta toisaalta monet asiat ovat etenkin suurilla julkaisijoilla vakiintuneet sekä muodoltaan, tyyliltään että sanastoltaan. Suomessa on harrastuksen tänne rantauduttua, ollut alusta asti hyvinkin hajallaan ympäri Suomea ollutta sakkia markkinoimassa, luomassa pelejä ja tapahtumia, pykäämässä käännöksiä, pelaamassa, pelauttamassa, myymässä ja luomassa pelejä. Lauantaina 13.12. Pispalan kirjastolla

Pispalan kirjastolla kokoonnuttiin SuperNörttiLauantai: Pelipäivät -tapahtumien sarjan päättävässä Luolapelipäivä-teemaisessa tapahtumassa. Lisäksi juhlimme Reetun synttäreitä muta- ja suklaakakuilla, limulla ja mehuilla, ja kekseillä. Kivaa oli! Pelejä pelattiin, kirjoja luettiin, lehtiä myös, ja juteltiin. Porukkaa kävi myös tutustumassa kirjastoon. Kirjamyyntiä oli mukavasti, Pispalan kirjasto ry:n jäsenyyttäkin män kaupaksi. Kävijöitä oli yhteensä 15 hlöä. Kaiken kaikkiaan vallan kiva, onnistunut häppeninki, ja hyvä päätös tapahtumien sarjalle! -Kiitoksia SuperNörttiLauantai: Pelipäivissä käyneille!-
